In stumbling upon Shawn Johnston’s website and viewing his portfolio, I saw his organic yet very clear approach to designing ecommerce sites. With Shawn’s redesign of my website, there was a refreshing inclusion of paper texture (that resonates brilliantly with my brand), a tonality that added dimension and warmth, and a subtle implementation of social media, creating an approachable web experience that felt tangible and inviting, not overloaded or overwhelming. The beauty, efficiency, balance and clarity of his design encourages actionable steps on the site for the viewer to focus on and experience the brand, and shop! Shawn was also especially great to work with. I was hesistant to work with someone I could not meet face-to-face, but his online portfolio, followed by our communications via email sharing his expertise and professionalism, really convinced me that he was the person to redesign my brand’s website.
